Aamir Khan to star in Bollywood ‘Forrest Gump’ remake

MUMBAI: Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan reported on Thursday that he is to star in an official Hindi-language redo of hit American motion picture "Forrest Gump."
"I have constantly adored 'Forrest Gump' as a content. It is an invigorating story. It is a vibe decent film. It is a film for the entire family," Khan told reporters in Mumbai on his 54th birthday celebration.
"Forrest Gump" won six Oscars, including best picture, best chief and best on-screen character for Hanks.
The movie was coordinated by Robert Zemeckis and depended on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of a similar name.
It focuses on the life of an imbecilic yet kind man whose life mirrors key occasions in America in the twentieth century.
Khan, who last showed up in film industry flop "Hooligans of Hindostan," said he would lose 20 kilograms (45 pounds) for the job.
"I must be lean and thin," he clarified, including that shooting would begin in October.
