Spain rescues 224 migrants from 5 boats in Mediterranean
MADRID: Spain's oceanic protect benefit says it has saved 224 transients from five distinct vessels attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea.
The protect benefit says it achieved two water crafts, conveying 66 and 77 vagrants, in the Strait of Gibraltar overnight. A third watercraft with nine vagrants was captured around dawn Saturday in similar waters.
A couple of hours after the fact, a Portuguese plane with the European Union Frontex outskirt watches spotted two more water crafts toward the east, conveying 35 and 37 transients each.
The save benefit says the vagrants were from North and sub-Saharan Africa.
